ROADSIDE is a debut short film written and directed by Tim Wildgoose. Loosely based on the short story ‘Roadside Picnic’ by Arkady and Boris Strugatsky.

Tim Wildgoose has worked in the film industry for 16 years as a designer, maker and supervisor in various departments and contributed to over thirty large scale productions. Although having worked extensively in many departments, this is his first time directing/producing.

Over his varied career in the film and theatre industries he has worked closely with actors, directors and producers at every level of the industry and has been contracted numerous times to large studio productions by Warner Brothers, MGM, Scott Free, Disney, Universal, DreamWorks, Marvel and Disney amongst many others.

The short film is self funded.  Shooting on DSLR Canon 5D MKIII using a professional sound/lighting crew and a small team of industry professionals.

The majority of the film was shot in London, Budapest and on a set built in West London.

Brief Synopsis:

ROADSIDE is a science fiction film set in London 2020, fifteen years after an unexplained visitation turns large areas of the planet into inhospitable ‘Zones’.
